Fariha Al-Shalmani, head of the High Preparatory Committee for the Second Sirte Conference, said that the Conference aims to prove to the world that “Libyans are the most capable in solving their problems.”

She added that this national meeting works to produce a document that includes national constants. Al-Shalmani also stated that the conference stresses that the solution to the country’s crisis must be Libyan-led.

This came in a speech delivered by Al-Shalmani, during the opening ceremony of the Second Sirte Conference. This was under the slogan of evoking historical memory to support national constants.

Al-Shalmani announced the launch of national discussion sessions to address the various issues that all sections of the Libyan society are facing.
