Libyan Ship Withdrawn from Deliquency Point

On Monday, the Mediterranean Shipping Company announced that the ship ‘Lady Halloum’ was withdrawn from the delinquency point in the Port of Tripoli.

In a statement, the company said that the strong cyclone that struck Tripoli on Tuesday led to damage around the capital, and the port. It added that the wind speed on that day reached 130 kmph and led to the stranding of the Lady Halloum at the breakwater. The ship remained on the rocks for several days. The ship’s owner contracted with a specialized international rescue company to rescue the ship and save the goods on board.

The company thanked all employees of the Mediterranean Shipping Company, the Ports & Maritime Transport Authority, the Libyan Company for Ports, the authorities at the Tripoli Maritime Port, and the Libyan rescue company for their cooperation.
