Libya’s Prime Minister suspends all meetings until coronavirus crisis eases

Although Libya is yet to confirm any cases of COVID-19, the government has taken strict measures to prevent an outbreak of the virus inside the country.

On Monday, Abdullah al-Thinni, the Prime Minister of Libya’s eastern-based Interim Government ordered the suspension of all regular meetings of the cabinet, ministries, and other state institutions until the coronavirus crisis eases.

The Prime Minister’s instructions are part of the preventive measures taken by the Libyan Government to confront the international public health emergency that is Covid-19.
