The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) announced that the total number of mercenaries sent by Turkey to Libya amounted to 18,000 fighters.
In a statement, SOHR added that among these mercenaries there were 350 minors under the age of eighteen. An estimated 10,750 mercenaries have returned to Syria, after the end of their contracts and receiving their financial dues. The observatory confirmed that there are currently 10,000 more remaining in Libya, including 2,500 Tunisian nationals.
SOHR pointed out that the total number of mercenaries who were killed in the battles in Libya amounted to 496 fighters. On Friday, the bodies of 26 Syrians were found in the city of Tarhouna, south of Tripoli.
