On Tuesday, a number of Libyan youth volunteers in the city of Ghdames launched a social media campaign on Facebook and Twitter entitled “Youth against Coronavirus”. The campaign aims to educate people about the novel Coronavirus and encourage them to take all precautionary measures to prevent the virus from spreading.

The volunteers put forward several effective proposals aimed at raising awareness and encouraging people to follow public health instructions to prevent an outbreak of COVID-19 in Libya.

Local youth participating in the campaign distributed leaflets to residents in Ghdames and prepared posters to illustrate how to prevent the transmission of Coronavirus in public places, such as standing at least one meter apart when meeting others.
