The Director of the Moral Guidance Department in the Sebha Military Region, Mahdi Al-Shuhaibi, announced that military orders were issued by the Libyan National Army (LNA) to stop armed clashes in the Al-Fateh neighborhood of Sebha.

The clashes, which took place for two days, resulted in two deaths and three injuries. A number of houses in the area were also damaged.

Al-Shuhaibi called on all residents of the neighborhood to cooperate with the LNA in order to maintain security and protect civilian lives.

Libya has been marred in chaos since the killing of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011. It now has two rival authorities and a multitude of militias vying for control of the country.
