On Wednesday, Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) and Schlumberger Ltd agreed on technology transfer talks to help restart the country’s oil wells and improve output.

The NOC Chairman, Mustafa Sanalla, held a virtual meeting with Schlumberger’s Chief Executive, Olivier Le Peuch.

During the meeting, Sanalla praised Schlumberger, describing it as one of the most important service companies supporting oil and gas production in Libya. It was announced that in early 2021, Schlumberger would begin training programs for Libyan workers in Benghazi.

Le Peuch expressed his joy with the achievements made by the NOC in reaching the current oil output levels. He confirmed that Schlumberger will provide technical assistance and work to provide its services throughout Libya’s oil fields.
