The Head of the Benghazi Security Directorate and Head of the Security Room of Greater Benghazi, Colonel Wanis Al-Shukry, conducted an inspection of the security works across the city. He reviewed police stations and departments within the directorate’s jurisdiction.

This comes as part of the action plan outlined by the Minister of Interior of the Libyan Interim Government, Ibrahim Bushnaf.

During his tour, Al-Shukry participated in traffic and security campaigns, where a number of criminals were placed under arrest. The director also inaugurated 30 joint security points between the Traffic Departments and the Emergency Police. These were distributed at various intersections and points that witness severe traffic congestion.

Al-Shukry stressed the importance of strengthening efforts to ensure that Benghazi remains safe and secure.
