Egypt and France have rejected external interference and cooperation with militias and foreign fighters in Libya, according to the Egyptian Presidency Spokesman, Bassam Rady. The Spokesman added that the two countries support a political solution leading to elections for the interest of the Libyan people.
President El-Sisi began his official visit to Paris, and is due to hold discussions with French President Emmanuel Macron and senior French ministers. A number of important bilateral topics will be discussed, including political, economic, and military issues, with Rady stating that the most important topic on President El-Sisi’s agenda was the Libyan conflict.
The two presidents share common views on a number of topics, including strengthening cooperation, anti-terrorism concerns, and finding solutions to regional issues, such as the eastern Mediterranean.
