Libya’s National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) said that it would quarantine everyone who has had contact with the newly discovered Covid-19 case being treated at Tripoli hospital.

The head of the Libya’s NCDC, Badr Al-Din Al-Najjar, paid a visit to the hospital to monitor the patient’s status and the people who have been in contact with him in recent weeks.

On Tuesday evening, the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) announced the first case of Covid-19 in the country. The patient is a 73-year-old man who tested positive for the virus after returning from Saudi Arabia.
