On Saturday, the Security Directorate of Greater Benghazi held an expanded meeting at its headquarters in Al-Rajma city to discuss ways to guarantee security in Benghazi and its surroundings.

The Media Office of the General Staff said in a statement that the meeting led to an agreement on the permissibility of the use of force against those who use weapons against the security and military establishments.

During the meeting, the Interior Minister of the Libyan Interim Government, Ibrahim Boushnaf, has discussed reconsidering the work of the Security Directorate, “to raise the level of performance in order to meet the aspirations of Benghazi’s residents.”

“The supervisors of the security room’s sub-plans have discussed cooperation and coordination in order to achieve the tasks assigned to it in the fastest time and with the least losses,” the statement noted.

The meeting was attended by the head of the Anti-Negative and Destructive Phenomena, the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, and Director of the Libyan Intelligence of Benghazi.
