Libya’s National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), announced that all 26 family members and friends, who had contact with the newly confirmed Covid-19 case, have tested negative to the deadly virus.
The head of the Libya’s NCDC, Badr Al-Din Al-Najjar, paid a visit to the hospital to monitor the patient’s status and those that have been in contact with him in recent weeks.
On Tuesday evening, the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) announced the first case of Covid-19 in the country. The patient, a 73-year-old man tested positive for the virus after returning from Saudi Arabia.
