On Monday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov claimed that Russia was acting with complete transparency in Libya. He noted that Moscow remains in contact with all Libyan parties.

“We are in contact with everyone, both with the west and east of the country, and with the Government of National Accord (GNA), the Libyan Parliament, the Libyan National Army (LNA) and other forces, including supporters of the former regime. Therefore, we act with complete transparency during our contacts with the Libyan parties.”

Earlier, Bogdanov discussed with Member of the Libyan Parliament, Fathallah Hussein Abdel-Karim a number of issues related to the Libyan conflict.

“In the context of an extensive conversation, views were exchanged on a range of issues related to the situation in and around Libya. At the same time, the task of effective coordination of efforts to promote a stable dialogue between Libyans with the participation of all influential political forces in the country was mentioned,” said the Russian MoFA website.
