On Thursday, the Libyan National Army’s (LNA) Military Information Division announced that its air defenses had downed an L-39 warplane belonging to Government of National Accord (GNA) over the Al Washka area, killing 2 crew members.

This comes after the LNA announced that it had shot down five Turkish drones over Tripoli and Misrata over the previous days.

On Wednesday, LNA spokesman, Major General Ahmed Al-Mismari, claimed that a Turkish warship had fired on its positions in the town of Al-Ajailat. Al-Mismari also accused Turkey of interfering in Libyan affairs by highlighting that Turkish naval forces had previously transported cargos of arms and military equipment to the GNA.
