On Thursday, the Libyan National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) said that the health condition of the first patient to be diagnosed with Covid-19 in Libya is improving.
In a statement, the NCDC explained that the first case of Covid-19 in Libya was a 73-year-old man who had recently returned from a trip abroad, adding that his health condition over the past few days has been continuously improving.
The NCDC pointed out that the patient will be discharged from hospital once he tests negative to the virus.
On Wednesday, the NCDC denied rumors circulating on social media that alluded to the recovery of the first Covid-19 patient.
On Tuesday, it announced that two more patients had been diagnosed with Covid-19, bringing the total number of people infected with the virus in Libya to 10.
