Libya’s Victims Organization for Human Rights has called on the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Abdel-Hamid Dbaiba and the Attorney General, Al-Siddiq Al-Sour to open an investigation into the incident in which a child died after being stung by a scorpion in southern Libya.

The child was rushed to the hospital, but due to a lack of anti-venom in the hospital, the child succumbed to its injuries.

The organization called for clarification as to why there is a lack of serums in the hospitals and health centers of the south.

It also denounced the repeated deaths of children for the same reasons in Ghat, Ubari, Al-Shati, Kufra and other areas across the south.
