The Syrian Observatory of Human Rights (SOHR) said that Turkey has continued to send Syrian fighters to join the war in Libya. It stated that 150 fighters from the ‘Sultan Murad’ group were on their way to Libya from the Syrian city of Afrin, via Turkey.
Fighters from other cities such as Jarabulus and Al-Bab were being recruited in the Hawar Kellis area.
The SOHR added that nearly 300 Syrians from ‘Sultan Murad’, ‘Suqour al-Shamal Brigade’ and ‘Al-Sham Corps’ arrived in Libya on Friday.
It is believed that nearly 5,000 fighters have been sent to Libya, with another 2,000 undergoing training before their deployment.
