On Wednesday, the Head of Tobruk’s Municipal Council, Faraj Abul-Khattabiya announced the barring of public Ramadan Iftar’s this year to prevent the transmission of the virus.
He urged all individuals who organized the events to instead provide the needy, and underprivileged with money or food supplies.
During the holy month of Ramadan, the government imposed curfew will continue, between the hours of 6:00 p.m-6:00 a.m, according to the Medical and Consultative Committee of the Interim Government.
Mosques, educational institutes, cafe’s, and restaurants, as well as wedding halls will also remain closed, the Committee confirmed.
