The Government for National Accord’s (GNA) ‘Supreme Committee to Combat Coronavirus’ held a meeting to discuss the latest developments with regards to COVID-19 and evaluate a number of precautionary measures to be taken during the next stage.
The Committee stated that it had submitted a proposal to the Presidential Council to amend the curfew hours for a period of ten days. The new curfew hours, beginning on April 28, would be from 6:00pm to 6:00am.
Official working hours will be from 9:00 am to 14:00 pm, with commercial banks set to work on a rotational system. Stores, mosque, cafes and restaurants will continue to be closed during this time, and all public gatherings will remain banned.
Earlier today, Libya’s National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced a new COVID-19 patient had been discovered in the country. Libya’s fight against COVID-19 has resulted in a total of 60 cases, 15 recoveries and one death.
