Turkey has operated 6 flights from Istanbul to the Libyan airport of Misrata during the last three days, according to Italian website “Itamilradar”.

The website said that it first tracked a Turkish Airforce flight departing from Istanbul and entering Libyan airspace.

Some minutes later, another Turkish Air Force Lockheed C-130E (71-01468) left Istanbul southbound to Misrata, Libya.

On Saturday, it added that an aircraft marked as Kenyan Airforce Alenia C-27J (222) departed from Istanbul and landed in Misrata.

Misrata, located 200 km east of Tripoli, has the largest military force in western Libya.

The UN-recognised Government of National Accord is dependent on this force to fight off the Libyan National Army’s bid to seize the capital.
