Libyan Minister of Interior Ibrahim Boushnaaf ordered the formation of a committee to evaluate the work of the government’s security directorates in towns and cities under the Interim Government/LNA’s control.

The committee consists of Brigadier Generals Salem Al-Kilani, Moamen Bouzahra, Salem Al-Kilo, Lieutenant Colonel Ibrahim Al-Abd, and Captain Ahmed Al-Alwani.

The committee started its work in Tobruk by assessing the central support apparatus, emergency services, the internal security apparatus, the city’s police stations and other security services in order to make sense of the city’s capabilities and obstacles facing these agencies to perform their work accordingly.

On Wednesday morning, the committee held a meeting with the head of the Governing Council of the Municipality of Tobruk Faraj Bul Khatabiya, in the presence of a number of local officials. The meeting concluded with the municipality and the committee drawing out an action plan to ensure an efficient assessment is carried out in Tobruk.
