On Sunday, the Commander-in Chief of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, held a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Libyan Interim Government, Abdullah Al-Thinni, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdul Hadi Al-Hwaij.

According to the General Command’s media office, the meeting discussed the cabinet’s resolution No. 84 of 2020 on monitoring and documenting human rights’ violations committed by outlawed terrorist groups and militias in the country’s western cities.

During the meeting, they discussed a number of strategic issues and ways to enforce the Cairo Declaration and the outcomes of the Berlin Conference with a view to finding a fair political settlement to the Libyan crisis, in accordance with national principles.

The Libyan senior officials also reiterated their rejection of any external aggression, the deployment of foreign fighters and militias on Libyan soil, and demanded the imposition of the rule of law.

During the meeting, the LNA General Commander addressed the conditions of internally displaced people from the western regions, urging the competent authorities of the Libyan government to find all possible solutions to solve their problems.
