On Thursday, the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Libyan Parliament reiterated its call for citizens to adhere to the protection measures issued by the government to address the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Committee also urged all competent authorities in the country to coordinate their efforts and assume their responsibilities to combat the virus, claiming it a national and moral obligation.

Meanwhile, the Committee also expressed its regret over the failure of a large number of citizens to abide by these preventive measures. It also expressed its gratitude to the local authorities and international organisations for contributing to the efforts against the epidemic.

On Wednesday, the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported 251 new cases and three additional deaths. This brings the total number of cases to 4,475 and the death toll to 99. The Committee added that 7 patients have successfully recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 640. Travel With Girls
