Libyan MP: Parliamentary Delegation Must Discuss Constants in Morocco

On Friday, the Head of the National Defence and Security Committee in the Libyan Parliament, Talal Al-Mihoub, said that it is necessary for the parliamentary delegation that is due to travel to Morocco, to discuss some of the constants that will solve the Libyan crisis.

Al-Mihoub explained in a press statement that these constants are summarized as the dissolution of militias and the withdrawal of their weapons, the non-interference of Turkey in Libyan affairs, and finally, engaging in political dialogue and agreeing on possible paths to peace. He added that should these constants not be discussed and applied, these meetings will become useless.

Ankara continues to escalate its involvement in the conflict, by supporting the Government of National Accord (GNA). This is despite Turkey participating in, and agreeing to the results of the Berlin Conference, where foreign states active in Libya agreed to uphold the UN arms embargo, and reject foreign intervention.
