On Sunday, the National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced the lifting of the force majeure status it had imposed on the El-Sharara field.
The NOC said in a statement that it had instructed the field operator, Acacus, to initiate production arrangements, while taking into account staff safety, public safety standards, and process safety.
The NOC added that it had reached an agreement with the Petroleum Facilities Guards, whereby they are obligated to end all obstacles facing the El-Sharara field and ensure that there are no security breaches.
