On Friday, Speaker of the Libyan Parliament Ageela Saleh met with the Prime Minister of Libya’s upcoming Interim Government, Abdel-Hamid Dbaiba in the city of Tobruk.

Dbaiba had arrived earlier at the Tobruk Air Base, where he was received by the Chief of Staff of the Libyan National Army’s (LNA) Air Force, Saqr Al-Jaroushi and officers affiliated with the General Command.

Dbaiba also visited Cairo yesterday and met with Egyptian President Abdel-Fatah El-Sisi to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation. Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli, and Head of the Egyptian General Intelligence, Abbas Kamel attended the meeting.

Dbaiba confirmed that he was looking forward to establishing a comprehensive partnership with Egypt in the security, stability, development, and reform process. El-Sisi stressed Egypt’s full readiness to assist Libya, “in a way that contributes to putting Libya on the right track.”
