On Saturday, the interim government of Libya delivered 65 ambulances, including ten intensive care ones, as a first batch, to the Ambulance and Emergency Medical Authority.
In a statement, the government, headed by Abdullah al-Thani, said that the step comes within the framework of its efforts to address the coronavirus pandemic.
The statement indicated that Al-Thani ordered the deployment of ambulances in all cities and areas that are under the interim government’s control to rapidly serve field hospitals and all medical units in the event of new coronavirus cases.
