On Sunday, The World Health Organization (WHO) in Sehba delivered medical equipment and medicines to the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) in the southern Libyan city to face the Covid-19 pandemic.

The director of the WHO’s office in Sebha, Radhia Al-Jeddawi, said that the organization would continue to support health institutions in Libya’s south, especially in this critical period.

The WHO has already started training doctors from hospitals and medical centers in southwestern Libya on how to deal with the Covid-19 virus. The doctors are being trained on how to prevent transferring the virus through the medical professionals themselves.

The NCDC has announced 5 new cases of Coronavirus in Libya, bringing the total number to 8 across the country. It added that the new patients had been in contact with other previous confirmed cases in Misrata.
