On Saturday, the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, met with the families of LNA members who sacrificed in the name of duty. This came through the Forum of the Families of the National Martyrs, which was held at the General Command headquarters in Ar Rajmah.

At the beginning of his speech, Haftar prayed to God to grant his mercy for the nation’s “martyrs.”He affirmed that the LNA’s General Command seeks to take care of the families of the “martyrs” who gave their “pure souls and pure blood for the sake of the homeland.”

Haftar announced the allocation of 20,000 housing units to the families of the “martyrs,” the wounded people and the provision of job opportunities for their children.

He added that a number of hospitals will be opened in order to provide medical care for the families of the “martyrs.” He confirmed that the LNA will pay the tuition fees for their children until they graduate from university.

Haftar pointed out that the priority for Hajj and Umrah requests will be for the families of the “martyrs.”

“The armed forces will start building three complete, integrated cities on the outskirts of Benghazi, where these new cities will accommodate at least 12,000,000 people,” he said.

The Commander-in-Chief concluded his speech by saying that, “the right of any martyr will not be lost as long as I’m alive.”
