Egypt’s Minister of Health, Hala Zayed said that a decision will be issued to treat Libyans equally as Egyptians in hospitals affiliated with the Ministry of Health.

In statements to the “Extra News” channel, she added that cooperation between Egypt and Libya will witness a boom in the coming period.

During his visit to Tripoli on Tuesday, Egypt’s Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly and Prime Minister Abdel-Hamid Dbaiba signed eleven documents to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

Among the documents signed are a protocol of cooperation in the healthcare sector and support for restructuring the Libyan Ministry of Health. They also agreed to send Egyptian medical missions to help alleviate the shortage of medical personnel during the COVID-19 pandemic.
