The United Nations announced on Wednesday the suspension of many of its humanitarian operations in Libya due to the ongoing clashes and restrictive measures taken against the spread of COVID-19.

“Humanitarian agencies have reported that they are unable to send trucks to provide long distance aid due to the curfew and many programs, including those in the 2020 Libya Humanitarian Response Plan, have been suspended, delayed, or reduced.” a spokesperson for the Secretary-General, Stephane Dujarric, stated according to ‘Turkish Anatolia Agency’ news.
