On Tuesday, the Libyan Red Crescent in Benghazi announced the launch of a campaign to support doctors and medical staff. The campaign is titled “You are a hero”.

Doctors, nurses, pharmacists and health sector professionals throughout the world have become the first line of defense against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Healthcare workers borne the greatest brunt in treating this virus, in addition to their endless daily responsibilities to other patients.

The world owes a great debt to these heroes and no amount of words of appreciation would suffice to the lifesaving work they do for their communities.
