The National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), announced that a second COVID-19 diagnosed patient has successfully recovered in Tripoli.

“We officially announce the recovery of the second case of COVID-19, after two samples tested negative in the laboratory,’’ Dr. Badr Al-Deen Al-Najjar, Director of the Center, told a press conference.

On Tuesday evening, the Libyan National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), announced that two new cases have been discovered in the country.

The NCDC confirmed that one of the two cases was found in Benghazi, and the other in Tripoli. This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in Libya to 21, including one death and two recoveries.

“Social distancing and commitment to home quarantine are the first steps in reducing the spread of the virus,’’ he added.

This announcement comes days after the NCDC confirmed the recovery of the another patient. Libya currently has 21 confirmed COVID-19 cases, one death, and two recoveries.
