The Libyan National Army (LNA) announced on Sunday that it had taken control of the western gate of Abu Qurayn, located in the south of Misrata, in addition to Zamzam and Qudahiyah regions.

In a Facebook statement, the spokesperson of the LNA, Major General Ahmed Al-Mismari, indicated that LNA forces found large quantities of weapons, ammunition and military equipment in Abu Qurayn after the armed forces affiliated with the Government of National Government (GNA) fled the area.

Hours ago, the LNA targeted such armed groups in the Qudahiyah area, southeast of Misrata.

In a previous statement, the War Information Division revealed that the LNA sent massive reinforcements to fighting hubs near Tripoli and western Misrata.

The LNA has also raised its level of preparedness to face a new wave of Syrian and Turkish fighters being deployed to Tripoli by Turkey.
