Algerian President Abdel Madjid Tebboune said in press statements on Saturday that the Algerian government is ready to assist the Libya to get out of its current crisis.

“Algeria supports the popular legitimacy in Libya and wishes to reach a political solution without foreign interference”, he said, expressing regret for the continuation of the fighting in Libya in the month of Ramadan.

Tebboune clarified that the solution to the Libyan crisis lies in the establishment of a transitional national council and an interim national army which would form a government capable of running the country in addition to holding new presidential and parliamentary elections.
