On Saturday, the Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs Noureddine El-Ray held a telephone call with his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita, to discuss regional issues such as the Libyan file.

In a statement, the media office of the Tunisian foreign ministry said the two Ministers stressed the necessity of ending the Libyan crisis by creating a consensual political solution based on relevant international resolutions. This would guarantee the unity of Libya, as well as the security and stability of its people.

On Wednesday, the Libyan National Army (LNA) announced that the coming days would see the launch of a constitutional declaration, including a new roadmap that aims to meet the aspirations of the Libyan people to live in a safe, democratic and stable country.

The LNA also announced it would abide by a ceasefire during the holy month of Ramadan, stressing that this came at the request of the international community.
