Libyan army arrests prominent ISIS leader in southern Libya

The Libyan National Army announced on Saturday that they have arrested Sudanese ISIS member Omar Fadel al-Saeed Mohammed al-Amin, who was held a position as head of the ISIS medical unit in Sebha , southern Libya, who is also known as Abu Abdullah.


Ali al-Tarshani, a spokesperson for the security room in Sabha, said that the ISIS leader was planning terrorist operations with others in the southern region.

Tarshani added that the security and military authorities and the security chamber raided the terrorist’s hideout in the south of Sebha, and transferred him to a secret and safe location, where he is being investigated by the competent authorities.

He said, “The terrorist has many secrets about ISIS cells in the south and in Libya in general.”
