The Confederation of African Football said on Friday that three member nations, Cameroon, Tunisia and Morocco, have submitted bids to host the finals of the Champions League and the Confederation Cup.

“With regards to the inaugural one-match for the finals of the Total CAF Champions League 2019/20 and Total CAF Confederation Cup 2019/20, three Member Associations have submitted bids during the 11-20 February 2020 timeline,” CAF said in a statement.

Cameroon submitted a bid to host the CAF Champions League in Douala city at Japoma Stadium, Tunisia is bidding to host it in Tunis at Rades Olympic Stadium, and Morocco has offered to host the continental tournament in Casablanca at Mohammed V Sports Stadium.

Morocco is the only country that has bid to host the Confederation Cup, offering to host it in Rabat city at Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Stadium.

CAF officials will review the bids taking into consideration infrastructure, accommodation and medical facilities, among others, the statement said.

The final decision is expected to be made by the CAF emergency committee on 12 March.

“It will be recalled that the CAF Executive Committee at its meeting last June decided on a single match for the finals of the Interclub competitions,” CAF said
