Ghanoushi Congratulates Al-Sarraj For Capturing Al-Watiya Airbase

The Speaker of the Tunisian Parliament, Rashid Ghanoushi, congratulated the Prime Minister of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Fayez Al-Sarraj, for retaking control of Al-Watiya airbase.

In a phone call today, Ghanoushi expressed his satisfaction to see Al-Watiya return to the GNA.

He also stressed that there was no military solution to the conflict in Libya and the need to return to dialogue.

According to a statement, Ghanoushi indicated that Tunisia was directly affected by the events in Libya and is concerned with the return of security and stability to the country.

Al-Sarraj expressed his gratitude to Ghanoushi, praising the strong relations and Tunisia’s keenness on the security and stability of Libya, the statement added.
