France and Algeria Discuss Libyan Crisis

The Élysée Palace reported on Wednesday that French President Emmanuel Macron discussed the current global COVID-19 pandemic, the Libyan crisis, and the African Sahel region with his Algerian counterpart, Abdel Majid Taboun.

In a statement, the two Presidents agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in all fields.

The Algerian government was angered by the broadcasting of a documentary on French television about the protest movement in the country. It lead to Algeria recalling its Ambassador in Paris.
