China has sent a medical aid shipment to Libya that will be delivered through Tunisia, in coordination with the Chinese Embassy in Tunisia. The shipment arrived on Wednesday at Carthage International Airport.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Tunisian Foreign Ministry said that the aid shipment to Libya was transported together with other consignments destined for Tunisia and several African countries.

They were sent on board a military plane due to its ability to transport the entire load in a single trip. The aid is believed to contain medical and protective equipment needed to support efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19, the Ministry said.
