The Libyan Interim Government’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has assigned the directors of its International Organisations, Legal Affairs, and External Information Departments to monitor violations and crimes committed by the Government of National Accord (GNA) in a number of Libyan cities.

The Ministry stressed that the monitoring of crimes committed by armed groups affiliated with the GNA, especially in Tarhuna and Qasr bin Ghashir, flagrantly violate domestic law and international human rights law.

The Ministry said that it had decided to assign the aforementioned departments to the Ministry’s Crisis Unit to monitor all violations and crimes committed by armed groups in their attacks on cities and towns in western Libya.
