The Libyan Foreign Ministry extended its condolences to Salem Al-Forjani, an employee in its Sirte office, after his wife, three sons, and brother were killed in a Turkish drone strike.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Ministry’s media office said “The Minister and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs extend their heartfelt condolences to our colleague, Salem Al-Fetouri Al-Forjani, over the death of his wife, sons, and brother. This was a result of the bombardment of his
house in Sirte by a Turkish drone.”

The Ministry pointed out that Turkish aircraft are currently taking part in an intense air campaign on
the city of Sirte.

This is to support attempts by Government of National Accord forces to capture the city from the Libyan National Army.
