On Tuesday, the Saudi Cabinet confirmed the Kingdom’s initial statements welcoming Egypt’s efforts to resolve the Libyan crisis.

It supported the call for a ceasefire in Libya and a return to political discussions.

In a video conference headed by King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Cabinet urged the warring parties to work together for the national interests.

It also stressed the need to restart comprehensive political negotiations under the auspices of the United Nations and to ensure the return of security and stability in the country.

The acting Saudi Minister of Media, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, said that the Cabinet had reviewed a number of regional and international issues.

He expressed the Kingdom’s rejection of the plans and measures issued by Israel to annex lands in the West Bank.

The Council condemned unilateral actions and any violations of international legitimacy resolutions that would undermine the chance of resuming the peace process.
