SOHR: GNA forces kill 7 Syrian fighters in Tripoli

On Monday the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) announced that 40 Turkish-backed Syrian fighters had escaped from Libya to Italy, noting that the total number of Syrians who have fled Libya to Europe has increased to about 200.

The SOHR’s statement said that a new wave of Turkish-backed Syrian fighters would be transferred to Libya within the coming hours.

SOHR director Rami Abdelrahman reported that the number of Syrian fighters who have died in Tripoli has exceeded 120. According to Abdelrahman, 7 Syrians were killed by forces aligned with the Government of National Accord (GNA) when the Syrians attempted to film clashes against the Libyan National Army (LNA).

The SOHR also confirmed that the total number of Turkish-backed Syrian fighters active in Libya has reached 4,750.
