Hussein Al-Qatrani, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources of the Libyan Government of National Unity (GNU), met with the French Ambassador to Libya, Mostafa Mihraje, on Sunday.
The Agriculture Ministry’s media office reported that the meeting focused on exploring cooperation between the two nations in agriculture, food security, and veterinary and animal health. They discussed the potential for coordinating national and international efforts to accelerate agricultural and animal development.
The media office added that the meeting also covered coordination in agricultural investment and the possibility of activating agricultural projects. Both parties agreed to develop a plan outlining the areas of cooperation between the agriculture, animal resources, and pastoral sectors in both countries.
Days ago, the Libyan Foreign Ministry, under the leadership of Acting Foreign Minister Al-Taher Al-Baour, engaged in diplomatic discussions with the ambassadors of France, Mostafa Mihraje, and Russia, Aydar Aganin, on Thursday. The discussions aimed at bolstering bilateral relations and cooperation with both countries.
During the meeting with the French ambassador, the emphasis was placed on strengthening the collaborative efforts between Libya and France, exploring ways to enhance bilateral ties, and addressing recent developments and areas of mutual interest.
