The Libyan National Army (LNA), led by Field Marshal Khalifa Hafter, announced on Thursday that its air and artillery forces destroyed missile stations and radars installed by the Turkish army east of the city of Misrata.

The announcement came in a statement released by LNA spokesperson Major General Ahmed al-Mismari that highlighted the latest developments in military operations.

According to the statement, the LNA was able to identify a large mobilization of forces aligned with the Government of National Accord (GNA) east of Misrata and Turkish equipment such as radars, missile stations, air defense, guided field artillery and armored vehicles of various types.

The operation is still ongoing to destroy remaining targets that constitute a military threat to LNA forces east of the city of Misrata, the statement read.

The spokesperson also said that such large scale mobilization of forces and the installation of significant military capabilities is a violation of the truce that had been declared on January 12, 2020.
