The Head of the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Fayez Al-Sarraj, will visit Malta on Monday to meet the Maltese President George Vella.

The Bilateral talks will focus on issues of common interest including the migration file.

The Libyan delegation visiting Malta will include the Interior Minister of the GNA, Fathi Bashagha, and Foreign Minister Mohamed Taher Siala.

Last May, the Maltese Prime Minister Robert Abela paid Libya a visit, in which the two governments signed a memorandum of understanding that committed the two governments to continue addressing human smuggling and trafficking from Libya to Europe.
