Libya’s Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, Mabrouka Touki, hosted Italian Ambassador to Libya, Gianluca Alberini, at her office in Tripoli.

The meeting highlighted the pivotal role of culture in fostering communication and understanding between nations, aiming to strengthen cultural and artistic bonds between Libya and Italy.

The discussion encompassed various cultural topics, including heritage and arts. Both parties agreed on executing joint cultural projects that benefit both nations and their peoples.

Plans include presenting Italian musical and theatrical performances in the cities of Leptis Magna and Sabratha.

Last month, Alberini and the Libyan Minister of Transport, Mohamed Al-Shahoubi, discussed cooperation in the infrastructure sector. The meeting focused on the progress of various projects, particularly the passenger terminal at Tripoli International Airport.

The discussion was attended by representatives from companies involved in these projects, highlighting the collaborative efforts to advance infrastructure development in Libya. The participants emphasized the importance of these projects for the country’s economic growth and stability.

The focus on Tripoli International Airport’s passenger terminal underscores the significance of enhancing Libya’s aviation infrastructure. This project is seen as a critical step towards improving connectivity and boosting the country’s capacity to handle international and domestic flights.

Both parties expressed their commitment to ensuring the successful completion of ongoing projects and exploring further opportunities for cooperation in the infrastructure sector. This collaboration is expected to pave the way for more significant investments and contribute to Libya’s overall development.

The meeting marks a positive step in strengthening the ties between Libya and Italy, reinforcing their shared goals of economic development and infrastructure improvement.
