LNA Monitors Turkish Activites Off Misrata’s Coast

The Libyan National Army’s (LNA) Chief of Staff of the Navy, Faraj Al-Mahdawi, stated that naval forces were ready for any possible confrontation, if the red lines of Sirte and Al-Jufra are crossed.

In a statement to the ‘Middle East Agency’, Al-Mahdawi claimed that the navy was conducting reconnaissance patrols and monitoring operations in Libyan waters. He pointed out that five Turkish frigates, and a supply ship had been detected off the coast of Misrata.

He also indicated that the Air Force was the primary force for combatting enemy ships that may attempt to infiltrate territorial waters.
